Celebrity Duets, GMA-7’s hit reality musical show, returns on August 23 for another serving of fun and non-stop singing! Experience entertainment at its finest as another batch of A-list celebrities from outside the music industry discovers and develops together their singing prowess in this one-of-a kind game show.
Hosted by Asia’s songbird Regine Velasquez and singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, Celebrity Duets follows the eventful lives of the celebrity contestants as they are trained and transformed into being the next musical sensations. Each week, a celebrity will be paired with an established singer to train and to guide them from their choice of song to their actual duet in front of a panel of judges and a live studio audience.
This season’s panel of judges includes veteran concert and theatre director Freddie Santos, renowned composer and arranger Danny Tan, and all around social butterfly and Celebrity Duets’ first grand winner, Tessa Prieto-Valdes. All three are equally responsible in assisting and influencing the viewing public as to who deserves their text votes.
The winner will get to choose a charity of his or her choice to which he or she will donate in whole or in part the one million peso grand prize.
Celebrity Duets Season 2 promises to be even bigger and brighter than the first with an added twist of originality to Fremantle’s version. Catch it every Saturday, after Pinoy Records, only on GMA! (30)
